David E. Brann

Dave Brann is Manager, Emissions Compliance at Electro-Motive Diesel, Inc. In thirty-seven years at Electro-Motive, he has had design or managerial responsibility for every part of the two-stroke engine except the crankcase, crankshaft, and turbocharger. His current responsibilities include emissions certification with EPA and other bodies and response to emissions regulation development initiatives such as the EPA rulemaking process for locomotives and marine vessels and the review process for the Stage IIIB rail vehicle emissions limits in Europe. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Maine and a Master of Science in mechanical and aerospace engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology.
