Reginald (Regg) Jones

Mr. Jones is a Founder and Managing Director of Greenbriar Equity Group, a private equity firm focused exclusively on making private equity investments in the global transportation industry, including companies in commercial aerospace and defense, automotive, freight and passenger transport, logistics and related sectors. Greenbriar’s core investment principles are to (1) invest in businesses with favorable strategic positions, attractive growth prospects and the opportunity to benefit from prevailing secular trends; (2) partner with high quality management teams who are motivated by being owners of the companies they operate; and (3) utilize Greenbriar’s domain expertise, extensive network of relationships and operational resources to enhance the performance of its portfolio companies. Greenbriar manages $1.5 billion of capital for privately negotiated equity investments within its targeted sectors.

Prior to founding Greenbriar, Mr. Jones spent 13 years at Goldman Sachs where he was a Managing Director and Group Head of global transportation investment banking. Under Mr. Jones’ leadership, Goldman’s transportation practice expanded substantially in terms of aggregate revenues, range of industry segments covered and global geographic balance. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. Jones worked as a consultant at Bain & Company.

Mr. Jones earned a B.A. from Williams College and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. He is a Director of Active Aero Group, AmSafe, Argo-Tech Corporation and Electro-Motive Diesel, Inc. and serves as a Board member of the Transportation Business Advisory Council at Northwestern University and the Intermodal Transportation Institute at the University of Denver. Mr. Jones is married and has four children.
