Robert J. Blankemeyer

Rob Blankemeyer is a Senior Vice President and Managing Director for Wachovia Bank. Since 1996 he has been Vice President - Acquisitions for First Union Rail Corporation. In this capacity, he is responsible for new and used equipment and portfolio acquisitions utilizing various finance structures for transactions with initial terms of 10 years and longer along with syndications and asset sales. Finance methods used include loans and single investor, leveraged and synthetic leases. Concurrently, Rob is president of Transportation Equipment Advisers, Inc., publisher of the Railcar Value Guide. The Railcar Value Guide is a reference tool used by financial institutions, railroads and shippers to establish fair market values for rolling stock.

Before joining First Union Rail, Rob was employed by various financial institutions including Westinghouse Credit Corporation, Northbrook Rail Corporation, Northbrook Corporation, Funding Systems Railcar Corporation and National Railway Utilization Corporation. He has over 30 years experience in rail equipment leasing.

Rob received a B.S. in Accounting from St. Joseph's University, Philadelphia, PA and MBA - Management and MS - Taxation degrees from Widener University, Chester, PA.

Rob resides in Wexford, PA with his wife and 2 daughters.
